Wasabi V3

The latest Wii mod chip that is compatible with all consoles is the Wasabi V3 . The Wasabi Wii mod chip allows the playing of your copies / backups and imports from other countries. The Wii can still function normally with the chip installed.

The Wasabi V3 is compatible with every Wii console, including the new D2E drive chipset that is now being sold in the UK.

The latest Wasabi V3 is not your typical Wii drive chip. Apart from all the usual features you'd expect from any good chip (including a working built-in GC audiofix), it sets new standards on many points:

It works on all drives, from DMS to latest D2C and D2C2 drives (including GC2-D1A and D2C-2)

Installation only requires between 5 and 9 wires to be soldered

It's the first D2E compatible chip that is upgradeable from DVD.

It's still the easiest chip to install on D2E and D2C2 drives : only 9 wires, only 3 of them connected to a pin/via.

It's the easiest chip to install on DMS and D2B as well: Consoles with modified D2B boards no longer have to cut / dremel the pins, just simply solder as normal.

It the first chip to include a decent amount of flash memory (128KB) for firmware and data storage.
